Jose played over 700 NHL games and is best known as being one of the most popular players during his 8½ seasons with the Montreal Canadians in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. In 2002, he played in 67 games posting the lowest goals against average in the NHL and won the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s Most valuable player. He also won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top Goalie! After his retirement from the NHL, he took the unusual step of becoming a journalist with the Journal de Montreal as a columnist covering his former team, the Habs, and has also become a successful real estate developer and a licensed Pilot!
