He holds the record for most coaching wins in NHL history, with 1,244 wins in the regular season, plus another 223 wins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Bowman is often regarded as the greatest coach in NHL history.As head coach, he has won a record nine Stanley Cup championships; five with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1970’s, one with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1992 and three with the Detroit Red Wings in 1997, 1998 and again in 2002. Brooks Orpik is a 2 time Stanley Cup Champion and was a 1st round Draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins - 18th overall - in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft - He played for 16 seasons in the NHL – 11 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and 5 with the Washington Capitals for a total of 1,035 NHL Games. He had the unique opportunity to win the Stanley Cup with two of the NHL’s most prolific stars of the past 2 decades: Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, and nine years later with Alex Ovechkin & the Washington Capitals in 2018. He is the only player to win the Cup with both the Penguins and Capitals franchises. Named after legendary USA "Miracle on Ice" Coach, Herb Brooks - Brooks is also an Olympic Silver Medalist with the 2010 USA Olympic Hockey Team and is the first Stanley Cup Champion to be born in the state of California – please welcome our friend – Brooks Orpik!

Kevin Lowe is a 6 time Stanley Cup Champion and the first player ever drafted by the Edmonton Oilers!! He was selected 21st overall in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Lowe then became the first player to score a goal for the Edmonton Oilers NHL franchise! A strong, steady, stay at home defencemen, Kevin patrolled the blue line for the Edmonton Oilers for 13 seasons and helped lead them to 5 Stanley Cups before being traded to the New York Rangers where he played for 4 seasons, and won his 6th Stanley Cup! He returned to Edmonton for one more season as a player, before eventually becoming the Head Coach for the 1999-00 season, then the General Manager, and eventually the Vice Chairman of the Oiler Franchise before retiring from Senior management in August of 2022. Patrice Bergeron is a rare member of Hockey’s “Triple Gold Club” which means he won a Gold Medal at an Olympic Games, a gold medal at the World Championships and also won the Stanley Cup – only 30 players in the history of the sport of hockey have managed to accomplish this feat! Bergeron played 19 years in the National Hockey League – ALL with the Boston Bruins, and is considered by most as one of the greatest defensive forwards to ever play the game! Patrice won SIX Frank Selke Awards as the NHL’s best Defensive Forward, and had 12 nominations for that award over the course of his career. Both numbers are NHL records! Don’t be fooled however by all the defensive accolades, this guy could also score goals, especially when they mattered, scoring 2 goals, including the game winning goal in Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals against the Vancouver Canucks. Bergeron is a lock to be a first ballot inductee into the Hockey Hall of Fame - enjoy the full interview!

Rick Vaive, a 13 year NHL Veteran who was a first round pick, 5th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft is in the house! Vaive played half a season for the Canucks before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs where he is best remembered as their Captain and as the very first player in team history to score 50 goals in a season wearing the blue and white. He also held the Leaf’s Franchise record for most goals in a season for over 40 years until Auston Matthews passed him in 2022.

David Krejčí - a Stanley Cup Champion who played 16 years in the NHL – all of them with the Boston Bruins! He is 5th for all time assists for the Bruins, and is 9th all time for points. During the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs he led all NHL players in playoff points, and was a key component of the Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup winning team! He was also a key member of the Czech Republic National team for multiple World Junior, two Winter Olympic Games and two Bronze Medals at IIHF World Championships. Bernie Nicholls, who still holds the Los Angeles King's franchise record for most goals in a single season, joins us today! He is one of only of 4 players in NHL history to score 70 goals or more, and finish with 150 points or more in a single season. The other 3 to accomplish this are Phil Esposito, Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. Bernie played in 1127 NHL games, for 6 different NHL teams and finished his career in 2006 with over a ‘point per game’ pace with 1,209 points. He was also named an NHL All Star on three occasions and currently is NOT in the Hockey Hall of Fame - His numbers are very strong - take a listen to what Bernie has to say and you decide! Olaf Kolzig! "Ollie the Goalie" joins us! Great hockey interview with a great goaltender and Washington Capitals fan favourite. Kolzig played more seasons with the Washington Capitals than any other player in franchise history! He was the first Goaltender picked in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft and went on to enjoy a very successful 17 year NHL Career. He was twice named an NHL All Star and in 2000, Kolzig won the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goaltender. He played in 719 NHL Games – all but 9 of them were in a Washington Capitals uniform, and is the only Washington Capital player to wear the number 37. He also has a very unusual personal background for an NHL player as he is a German citizen who was born in South Africa, raised in Canada but now works and lives in the United States. Ken Daneyko is a 3 time Stanley Cup Champion who was drafted in the first round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He played his entire 20 year NHL career with the New Jersey Devils setting numerous Devil’s team records - two of which – most games played (1,283 games) and most penalty minutes (2,516), both remain as Franchise records to this day!! He was part of New Jersey's humble NHL beginnings and endured the lean early years & growing pains as the Devils became a model NHL organization, and eventual three time Stanley Cup Champions. Chris Chelios, a 26 year NHL LEGEND who is a 3 time Stanley Cup Champion and 3 time Norris Trophy Winner joins us this week! We are joined by Marty Biron who was a first round draft choice of the Buffalo Sabres, 16th overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Marty went on to play over 17 seasons – all but 3 in the state of New York, with the Sabres, Islanders and Rangers. He one of only 6 NHL players ever to play for all three NHL franchises. Biron spent the other 3 seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers and was key part of their 2008 Stanley Cup playoff run after missing the playoffs the previous seasons. He spent his first nine seasons with the Buffalo Sabres replacing Dominick Hasek as their starting goaltender and becoming a fan favourite with Sabre fans. First, he spent 4 seasons with the Washington Capitals, who picked him 2nd overall in the 1978 NHL Entry Draft, and named him Team Captain the following season making him the youngest player ever at that point, to be named as a team Captain in the history of NHL. On this week’s show, we are joined by Bernie Federko, a 14 year NHL Veteran who played all but his final season with the St Louis Blues! Bernie was a first round pick in the 1976 NHL Entry Draft, and put up very impressive numbers that still remain as St Louis Blues Franchise records including career games played (927), career assists (721) career points (1073) and career playoff assists (66). He was the first NHL player in League history to get 50 assists in 10 consecutive seasons. Bernie played exactly 1,000 NHL Games, and finished his career with 1,130 points! At the time of his retirement in 1990, only 15 players had ever scored more points in the NHL. On this week’s show, we are joined by Adam Oates, one of the greatest playmakers in hockey history - NHL Scouts felt he too was “too slow” as a junior, and he went un-drafted in 1982.  However, after then playing 3 years of U.S College hockey and working on his game at RPI,  in 1985 he signed the NHL's highest rookie contract in history (at the time) with the Detroit Red Wings, and went on to play 19 seasons in the NHL. He certainly proved his critics wrong, as his speed wasn’t an issue averaging over a point a game in the 1,337 NHL games he played. Oates ended his career with 1,420 regular season points and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012, and in 2017, was named one of the Top 100 players in NHL History. We are joined by Bill Ranford, a 2 time Stanley Cup Champion who was the starting goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers the last time they won the Cup in 1990.  Ranford was selected in the third round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft 52nd overall, by the Boston Bruins. He played fifteen seasons in the NHL with 5 different teams and was also a member of the Canadian National team that won a Canada Cup, and a World Championship along the way. In fact, he is the only player in the history of hockey to be awarded the MVP of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Canada Cup, & the Men's Hockey World Championship!  He is currently the Goaltending coach for the Los Angeles Kings.

We are thrilled to joined by Glenn Anderson - a 6 time Stanley Cup Champion, who played 16 seasons for 4 NHL Teams. Glenn is best known as a 5 time Cup winner with the Edmonton Oilers, performing especially well in important games garnering him the reputation of a "money" player. His five playoff “game winning” overtime goals rank third in NHL history. During the playoffs, he accumulated 214 points, the fourth most in NHL history. He also holds the Edmonton Oilers team record for regular season game winning goals with 72.   He is one of only seven Oilers players to have won all five Cups in franchise history. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008 and his jersey number, 9, was retired by the Oilers in January 2009.

During his 14 year career, he played 9 seasons for the Habs, and also spent 3 seasons with the other Quebec based team, at that time part of the WHA – the Quebec Nordiques.After his retirement from the Habs he spent nine years as a senior business executive with Molson Breweries before becoming the Canadians General Manager from 1995 to 2000 – a challenging time in the team’s history. He continues to serve as an “Ambassador” for the Montreal Canadians to this day. A true Quebec hockey legend - so please to be joined by Rejean!

Giguere! - a Stanley Cup Champion, and Conn Smythe Trophy winner - Giguere was the last player to be named the recipient of this trophy as the Most valuable Player in the Stanley Cup playoffs, while playing for a team that did not win the Cup! He was drafted in the first round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, and even though he is nine years into his retirement from the NHL, he is still the current record holder for career wins and shutouts for the Anaheim Ducks.
