Joe Mullen grew up in New York City playing roller hockey - shares his unusual road to the NHL!

We are joined by Joe Mullen, one of the best American born players to play in the NHL. Despite being un-drafted, he became a three time Stanley Cup Champion who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League with the St Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins between 1980 and 1997.
He played in three NHL All Star Games and was the first American player to score 500 Goals and to reach 1,000 points in his career. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000 - not bad for a kid who grew up in Hell's Kitchen in New York City!
