We are very excited to be joined this week by Håkan Loob, a rare member of Hockey’s “Triple Gold Club” which, to be a member, means you must win a Gold Medal at the Olympic Games, a gold medal at the IIHF World Championships and also win the Stanley Cup – all three! Only 30 players in the history of the sport of hockey have managed to accomplish this. Loob only played 6 years in the National Hockey League – all with the Calgary Flames, but in a very short time he had a very big impact becoming the first Swedish player to score 50 goals in the NHL and played in 2 Stanley Cup finals, including being part of Calgary’s only Stanley Cup Championship Team in 1989.Please welcome the man Calgary Flame’s General Manager, Cliff Fletcher called “the Wayne Gretzky of Sweden” - our friend – Håkan Loob !!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
